UN calls for gender equality and global crisis response
UN Secretary-General Guterres stressed at the International Women's Day commemoration that eliminating gender inequality requires systemic reform, with particular attention to marginalized women. The International Organization for Migration report revealed that more than half of the deaths of female migrants occurred during the Mediterranean smuggling process, but data statistics are seriously insufficient. In addition, the International Labor Organization pointed out that despite the increase in female employment rates, workplace inequality is still widespread, and only 44% of countries in the world have implemented legal commitments to gender equality in education.
